Awareness, Mentorship and Educational Program
The Awareness, Mentorship and Educational Program aims to sensitize adolescents on social and health-related issues. The Girls’ Care Project under the AMEP focuses on mentoring and educating adolescent girls from age 13-18 years on reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, menstrual hygiene while providing them with educational materials and guiding them towards making better academic and career choices.
Our overall objective is to create awareness on the relevant health issues affecting adolescents and create a safe place for young girls to speak out against rape, child marriage, violence and other social vices.
Thus far, over 200 girls from Government Secondary Schools Lugbe and Mabushi, Abuja have been empowered with the right knowledge, given educational materials and assisted with sanitary wares.
